The only Slavs which could be placed as western are Czechians, Slovakians, Croatians, Slovenian. All others are unlikely to be part of Western Civilisation.

they have always been different, before they were even more backward, it's so called socialism who brought electrification to villages (even in the 70ties), whereas Germany had it long before
