What is an "Arab" to you, and who can consider themselves Arab?

since lately hadouken started some thread that got lots of debates and arguments i would like to ask, what makes one an Arab? The language they speak? the connection to the culture? Looking "Arabid"? what are all the factors and who can consider themselves "Arab?


like for example, if you're only partially Arab, like 20% or 10%, can that guy consider himself arab if he has some sort of connection to the culture? or does it have to be above 35%> and the person has to speak arabic? Or is that person considered "Arabid admixed" and by no means can call himself a arab?

I consider the "True Arabs" to be from the Gulf, and Muslim aswell.

Levantines are too diverse to be considered pure Arabs in my eyes, same with Maghrebis, only Egyptians have a fair amount of ME ancestry the rest of the maghreb is just arabized.

i agree haha, if you have Arabian parents and or even one parent i personally think you can consider yourself Arab. if you are 50% Gulf Arab then you are an arab to me

If your parents are Arab, you are Arab. And if you're a muslim from ME you can be considered Arab


If you are partially Arab you're not an Arab but Arab-admixed guy, or Part Arab.
