    Italian peninsula: Italian people

to me it just sounds better and makes more sense, but i agree that "Arabs" are only the true ones living in that peninsula

Arabic (people) : adjective that can define all those ethnicity influenced in a major way by ancient arabic culture and religion.
Well yup. imo the Gulf Arabs are the only true Arabs to me. You can call Levantines Arab, and sure. Some of them might be, like southern Iraqi's probably, Southeastern Jordanians, probably some other Arab admix throughout the rest of the Levant, maybe extends a bit into Egypt and perhaps Libya and some parts of East Africa and that's were it really stops

The gulf arabs are the real arabs and thats why i am glad to have some ancestry from there haha, it's not alot. only 33% but it is there, still i consider myself caribbean above all even though i dont look the matter.

yeah i agree. But i ment to say, if you are partially Arab. and you recognize and cherish your arab side for example. if the person would call himself an "Arab" would it raise eyes? btw im not talking about myself as i consider myself caribbean because my mom was.

But yeah i am just curious if a 35%> arab can call himself arab because he is partially so, especially if he grew up amongst arabs and egyptians etc ?

If both your parents are native speakers of the Arabic language you can call yourself arab. Genetics is irrelevant as Arabs are a cultural/linguistic group.

well yeah sure that could be true. Thats how they think of it atleast, most Arabs i've met though when i told them i was partially Arab they immediately became happy and treated me as one of their own now everytime i walked into my classroom from the other side of the classroom this would be shouted at me " ARABIAA! SANA'A BOY!" XD

arabs are probably one of the funniest people i've met. they now keep calling me Sana'a boy because i said to them i was partially Yemeni. Which is probably true as many calculators clustered me close to Yemen but still, i dont know

How do you know it’s from the gulf Arabs since you only get 30% middle eastern on certain picked gedmatch calculators?

I consider an arab anyone who grew up in an arab culture and is ethnically from the mena region , so for me gulf arabs might be the only genetic arabs but since the muslim conquests it became more of a cultural thing , I am tunisian and the majority identify with "arabs" although virtually everyone is berber (which to be fair is also a cultural term more than a genetic one) . But I am from the minority that are actually ethnic arabs but since both populations intermarried and didn't look so different since the beginning , there are no distinction ofc .

That's so cool Second time i've met a Tunisian in this forum, a Arab one at that

and yeah i agree with you. I grew up with Moroccans, Egyptians, Turks, and Arabs so culturally i can say i was about 50% Arab and 50% Caribbean, and i was raised the black way so i kinda feel connected to both. At that i am 21-33% MENA/Mostly Arabian, minor Berber and i am only 21% SSA. However i feel more connected to my Caribbean side because i was raised that way, but i dont look like a caribbean at all ppl either say i am Caribbean Hispanic or Egyptian/Arab.

and yes i fully agree with everyone here, i cannot identify as Arab only because i am 1/3 Arab, that's not the way it works. However i find the Arab culture very interesting and super cool, it's my second favorite culture besides that of Caribbeans.

I consider myself either Caribbean, or Arab-Caribbean. Even though i am partially white i feel 0% connected to my european side because my dad never really was in the picture my mama was my dad and my mom at the same time
