It's a bad label for a reference population that exists along the Rhine and down into the Alps. French people typically get around 35% French & German and then some Southern Euro and some British & Irish, varying based on region. Germans get varying amounts of French & German and then a mix of Scandinavian, Eastern European, Southern European, etc depending on region.

French & German is not all of France's and all of Germany's genes in a big vague pool. You can easily tell the difference based on the other admixtures.

Yes, you Germans are different to French people in % of assimilated East Slavic peoples namely Pomeranians, Lusitians and similar.

I would like to see French and German Geneplaza K14 and K29 result to compare them with Celts and Greeks, then I will be able to accept the fact that French people are mixed with Celts.

Until then I must insist that Franks (French) are the people from Germany (or was it netherland, belgium) ? Salian Franks were there.

But how can you forbid people to move from one region of the country to another? You create borderline inside the country?
Curently we can't even forbid people from annother EU country to come so this policy is too much utopic.

For me the best of the best would have to give freedom to all thoses territory at the end of WWII int he same time of the other africans colonies.
