We should all French kiss and hug because we're Canadian and not American so we win in the end.

Thank you for you answer. As for the question you asked me about beers, I usually prefer local European beers precisely because they are "stronger" than their foreign counterparts, but I am really into everything, such as lagger, pilsen, IPA, ales, stout, porter, etc...

So I guess knowing some simple phrases wouldn't mind. Don't be surprised if some of the people you come across are cold - they are to everyone lol. But in Montreal you'll be fine because the entire city is not only basically bilingual, but they're happy to use both languages.

These are just my personal experiences but I know they're shared by most Canadians.
I'd love to stay at Château Frontenac, but I am afraid I do not have the necessary amount to money to do so.

Question for both of you: I was told that Canada is pretty warm in August, so how is the weather there? I will be sataying in Toronto in august and then moving up to Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec in early september.

Your trip sounds lovely! I am very excited for you. As for the weather, nowadays it is humid as per usual, so around 25-28 degrees-ish but feeling hotter (30-35-ish). But by end of August, early September it should be much more pleasant, with most days probably being in the early 20s.
