Is there are a certain difference in preference for clothing choices, style of grooming, or even phenotype? I have been told by many that I look Southern .When I visit the more Northern states, I seem to stick out like a sore thumb, and I'm not even self aware. Style of grooming , perhaps? Southern men have a different grooming pattern than northern men. I live in the Southern tip of the Mid Atlantic states (virginia). Which teeters on the North/South divide. But our history, culture, and everything else was definitely part of the Old South. Mom's side of the family has been in the Richmond ,VA area since the 1600s. There does seem to be a local pheonotype in this area. Which people notice. I know that Southern Preppies in my area wear more vibrant colors, comb their hair different than the New England ones. What do Y'all think?
