what are your favorite dog breeds?

My favorite breed of dogs has to be the three types i have personally owned.


Bella was a pedigree liver and white English Springer Spaniel.


My mother bred Collies so i had a puppy off her, Kim was a pedigree Sheltie (Toony dog)

I've always been most partial to spaniels, but I do also like quite a few of the sighthounds and mastiff-types. My current dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but due to genetic issues in the breed, I don't plan to ever own another one. I always thought it would be great to have a Basenji, but worry it might be too clever and energetic for me to handle.

One extinct, El Alano Español, father of the American Pit Bull.
Noble and loyal warriors and friends of my ancestors. Present in the worst scenarios and battles of mine arround the world until their extinction.











The descendants of the first alanos brought to america by conquistadores (they were very usefull in finding paths and killing and eating indians (they ate us after all)) in Civil War of the USA.

Basically they were terrible with the amerindians and knew to identify pure amerindians from mestizos and among these pure indios, the docile from the enemies of conquistadores.
They were protected and honored by the conquistadores. Most of them died by venoms and poisons in the arrows of the indians: "Quien a colmillo mata, a flechazo muere."
