But was Freestyle only popular among Latino/Italian-Americans? Was it common among Anglos as well?

True, plus Brazil is the dominant country of South America, it has an interesting parallel with the US in a sense that they each govern different sides of the same continent(The Americas) but with different European component. The US has an Anglo heritage while Brazil has an Iberian Latin heritage that is show in its population since the majority have Southern European roots ranging from mainly Portuguese but Spanish and Italian aswell. Brazil is the embodiment of a United Latin America since it’s the biggest country in the region.

The indigenous people of Brazil were the most widespread in South America ranging as far as Central America to the Southern Cone, it imported many Africans during the slavery era like many other countries in the American continent along with the US and according to sources has the biggest population outside of Africa. Where the US south put Jim Crow laws and pushed for segregation, in Brazil miscegenation was used to whiten its population like in other Latin American countries. Brazil is catholic while the US is Protestant. Brazil is Tropical whilst the US is Cold and Temperate. US is the West and North while Brazil is the Global South. US is developed while Brazil is developing.
