Colombia has plenty of tri racials but also plentys of mestizos. Brazil doesnt have a huge number of mestizos. I think we are similiar to Puerto Rico or a Pred versiion of DR.

I agree.
I just consider Puerto Rico similar to us, but we are still different from them because of Japanese, German and Italian immigration.

Why unfair? Brazil was colonized by a Latin Euro country and we speak a Latin based language.

In my view that is just a pretext, I do not see anyone calling people from Quebec " Latino ".
And as far as I know French is an official language not just in Quebec, but in the entire country.
