I am having difficulty locating concrete statistics regarding the prevalence of the two above-mentioned forms of diet in European countries, and decided to present this topic to the community. I would assume vegetarians, vegans, and the like would be more common in Western Europe in general than in the East, and in Northern Europe in general than in the South. Both are very common within Canada and the United States, and most restaurants cater to both groups. Can the same be said of Europe? How difficult would it be to live as a vegetarian or vegan in Europe? Where might it be more difficult to accommodate such eating choices, and where might it be less difficult?
