This is mainly anecdotal, but from my experience, I have met people with very high IQ's from all walks of life. Usually these people (I know in their life path,) almost never end up starting up their own business, doing anything in the field of music or arts, or creating anything of their own. They tend to live life by the ropes, almost as if they have very little to no creative or original ideas. Yes they do well in school, they have high paying jobs (some times) , and maybe they are good researchers in their field of study. But I have never really met a person with extremely high IQ that has done anything to contribute to society beyond the basics. In fact, they are little to no different than average IQ people, in the sense that they don't really ever do anything EXCEPTIONAL.
Meanwhile, the most creative people I know tend to have IQ's only slightly above average- in the 110-120 range. These people actually end up being very creative in business, the arts, etc.
Why does this seem to be ? You'd think someone with a 160 IQ would be the most creative person on the planet. But I find the opposite to be true. I guess they feel they don't have anything to prove?
