Just goes to show, "intelligence" is often a stumbling block for people to get to know God, and for good reason. And often has to do with pride... people think they are so smart, and that they can figure out everything for themselves. But God is not in the business of trying to impress people. He doesn't need to.

Even so, it is also notable that many of the most intelligent people in history were Christians, like Isaac Newton. In these wicked days, there is academic pressure on people who think they are smart, to deny God.

1.) This is not 70 or 80 years ago where schools still taught critical thinking skills but now schools teach 'facts' as if they were handed down by 'God'. This should naturally turn off smart people. Americans think one should go to college merely to get a better job but if college makes you think too much then it is bad.

Rose (1999: 142, emphasis added) notes, "Binet’s test used criteria that were directly educational and behavioural. They were direct assessments of the degree of adaptation of individual children to the expectation that others had of them.” The key to the success of Binet’s test was not the ability to accurately measure “intelligence”—which he felt was impossible to predict through such time-restricted tests—but its administrative usefulness in identifying problematic individuals (Rose 1999: 142).

Anyway, Steve Sailor is a right wing 'thinker' the original post linked to his blog and there were it seems there were zero books referenced and the OP referenced 0 books. I referenced 3 or so and Rose's book is considered seminal in the field or at least very influential in the field. The OP and Steve are anti-intellectuals.
