Rich people here dont use subways because they dont need it. Its usally people from Zona Norte(Suburb. Suburbs in Brazil are place where low class/poor and middle class people lives) that uses subways because most of them works in Zona Sul(Rich area of Rio) or in central zone.

But, favelas are part of Zona Sul. For exemple, Copacabana has favelas


So, they cant get away of violences.
