Just ancient admixture that is present in all Europeans just like non-Europeans get some European admixture. When you think about it places like Ireland got most of their genetics from the Bell Beakers who only arrived about 4,000 years ago. Not very long at all in the scheme of things.

But the Pre-Beaker Neolithic population of Ireland was very similar to Sardinians and Iberians.
A degree of Iberian-like genetic affinity that shows up for Irish people is probably from them.
England (1) has weaker affinity to Neolithic Irish sample, than Ireland (2) and Scotland (3):

Well of course England would have a weaker affinity. It is an Irish Neolithic genome. If it was an English Neolithic genome it would have more affinity to the English. The Ballynahatty genome would have more affinity to European Farmer populations like Sardinians so it makes sense the hotspots being there and Spain. Those populations have retained more present day European Farmer ancestry. What is interesting is the Ballynahatty genome was of a different farmer population than what the Rathlin's carried.

Not all European farmers were the same.
For example Hungarian Neolithic has much stronger affinity to Italians and Greeks:

Hungarian Bronze Age has a weird pattern - look at Ireland, Wales, England, Poland.
Caledonia was not influenced by Hungarian BA, but Wales was.
