Looks like he's playing the flute in the first pic.

Anyways, kangaroos are just giant rats who learnt to stand upright. When people acquire this knowledge, well they stop seeing them as so cute.

Huh? Rats are not marsupials...However if you mean they're pests, well yes they can be.

I know, but they are descended from rat-like creatures and therefore are rats.

There are still some species around that probably resemble what their descendants looked like in the transitional stage eg kangaroo rats in the Americas, they are known for jumping around.

The funny thing is that scientists believe humans evolved from a rat creature.

Is there a scientific basis behind the theory that Kangaroos descend from rats? Or is it just what you think based on the appearance?

I actually feel sorry for kangaroos that aren't in there natural environment. From thousands of years in the Australian bush, to being locked up in a cage.

I think it's a disputed theory, according to Wikipedia.

The most numerous early macropods, theBalbaridaeandBulungmayinae, became extinct in the late Miocene around 5–10 mya.[22]There is dispute over the relationships of the two groups to modern kangaroos andrat kangaroos. Some argue that the balbarines were the ancestors of rat kangaroos and the bulungmayines were the ancestors of kangaroos.[23]while others hold the contrary view.[24]
Here is some small macropodidae related to kangaroos, they are marsupials found in Queensland. Very rat-like imo.
