Nope, not that one. You talk about Orhan who was his cousin. In 1453, Orhan and his 600 Turks defended Byzantium against Mehmed II.
Mehmed enacted Fracticide Law (which is against Sharia normally) and got his baby brother, born from his father Murad II, strangled to death. Baby was like 6 months old. Ottomans practiced that brutal law until 1603, Ahmed Padishah removed it.

40 million Anatolians (at least) (Turks) have Orthodox History (descended from ex-orthodoxes) as Armenians, Greeks.

I am not ashamed of my Orthodox history it's just we are Muslims in the last 3-4 generations.

Even Syrians have Orthodox history (they were Christians before Islam)

Turkey is the main successor of Ottoman Empire, and like every Empire (Mongol, Russian, Persian, Byzantian), many people got absorbed into Turkish nation and adopted Turkish language, culture. Nowadays, it is how they feel and it is not necessary that Turk has to be Half-mongoloid from Altay mountains.
