What you're describing in the first sentence is Speed
Second sentence is acceleration
X= position
X0 = point de depart
V(T0-t1) = speed
A(T0-T1)²/2 = acceleration.
This is the full equation for both of them.
You can of course do the derivation to come to the equation of speed (or, the opposition, Integrale to come to the equation of Acceleration)^^
