Why do some Indians claim that a lot of Indians and Turks look no different?

On YouTube, some Indian guys were claiming that Indians and Turks look no different from each other. Then, I posted him photos of non-cherry-picked Turkish crowd where there were a lot of Alpinid, Turanid and Mediterranid faces, then he told me that those people were heavily Balkan impacted (LOL). Then he told me original Turks phenotypically no different from Indian people. Why are some of them claim such thing?

Yes south asians look completely different to west asians, i pass better as a sri lankan than any west asian country and so does every other Pakistani and indian, happy?

There is a little overlap - I think darker Turks pass more often as Indian/Pakistani than do e.g. darker Levantines - but as groups they look pretty different.
