It seems like a lot I guess, but the hardest part is actually the continuous and sequential drop in weight done non-sop with the flys: if you ever want to see something funny, walk into the latter end of the process and watch a 196 lb. man be unable to complete a set of flys with 15 lbs., after he has pressed more than twice his own body weight on an olympic bar.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I was one of the "power lifters" in my high school's athletic teams and after the heavy weights low reps, the light weights higher reps become a pain, pyramid training I believe it's called am I right?

Upon rising, I take the whip to my kids and wake them up for school Once I've dropped them off I go to a client's house and clean their place from top to toe. I'm on my feet the entire time, and they aren't small houses I deal with. One client's house, for example, has 6 split levels, and there's always something to do.

Where I live is quite hilly, so a good brisk walk is exercise, along with classes I go to that does a mix of Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi.

Ahh. Yes, I do Pilates as well at least once a week to elongate muscle bellies, for core strength, and to fortify sinew and connective tissue. - makes for a good stretch.

I keep it very simple. I run six to eight kilometers three times every week. Once in a while when I remember it I do pull ups and sit ups.

Wakeup pushup’s is part of my coffee ritual since forever. One rep of ca 50 and second rep whit feet on table and no counting till my arms shake. Doing them on knuckles instead of palms saves the wrists. It is probably not much muscle building but gives me a needed adrenalin-boost. I need to take up running again.

I don't really know much about this sort of thing, but have lately been doing a hundred sit ups a day, interspersed with however many pushups I feel like for variety's sake. I have a bit of a beergut that won't go away, and has recently started annoying me, and so would appreciate some more educated advice on sorting this out.

I don't eat sweets and fatty things much any more - just thought I'd see if I could wean myself off them, and it's actually pretty easy when you set your mind to it. And I don't drink half as much as I used to. I walk a good long way roughly one and a half times a day on average, with the dog. Unfortunately, she's older and more obstinate than she was when a puppy though!

As you can see, it's not much, and hardly imaginative. Am I wasting my time?

The walking and gymnastic is excellent. But do not believe sit-ups per se will slim your stomach. Only weight loss will do that. It will give strength and a better posture tough. And a good adrenalin-rush.

You must have strong arms & shoulders. Push-ups are excellent for upper body strength. I used to do it a lot years ago, with dips too.

When I was a gym regular, my routine would start with 3 sets of push-ups, maximum reps, & 3 sets of dips, before weight training starts.

That's actually a great tip for some people. I developed a ganglion cyst on the back of my wrist from doing too many pushups.
