I guess so, struggling with our identity. Slovaks have the same issue. No idea why Czech are supposedly less happy though, because they don't have that issue.

I was thinking it was Polish minority but then I realized that Poles are not as much as 20-25% of Czechia's population.

Notice how happy the Germanic and Finnic countries are. Stereotypically both cultures are known for their sobriety. If you desire less materialistic things in life, you probably tend to be happier? I dunno.
