Because he never tested anything other than his Y-DNA.

I just estimated his results based on GEDmatch and info about his great-grandparents.

You can find towns in Galicia where the majority of inhabitants have Polish surnames of German origin (like Ulman, Inglot, Cwynar, Nycz, Groelle, Szpunar, Lonc, Uchman, Bartman, Reizer, Rejman, Pelc, Kluz, Szajer, Szmuc, Preisner, Rydel, Falger, Bem, Tejchman, Bytnar, Ladenberger, etc.).

For example Albigowa. "History of Albigowa" by Tadeusz Ulman:

Many towns and villages in Galicia have originally German names with German etymology.

For example Łańcut (Landshut), Grybów (Grynberg), Albigowa (Helwigau), etc.

On the other hand, names like Rostock, Dresden or Berlin have Slavic origin & etymology.

Yes his Y-DNA is supposedly from a Medieval German knight but he also has recent German ancestry from Galicia (so technically it is Austrian not German, Austrians are a different nation).
How I imagine Rethel's German knight ancestor.

No his ancestors are from part of Galicia which is in Poland now.

But there were German settlements in Western Ukraine as well.

Anyway entire Galicia was part of Poland before WW2.

Rethel should be unbanned because we have a shortage of German members.
