I dont know whether they are alt-right, but Strache and FPÖ are german nationalists with ties to fraternities who are very much german nationalist. Kurz is a conservative.

True but they call Le Pen alt-right too, americans always project their own onto europe too. Steve Bannon said he will "help alt-right in europe to gain political controll"

Exactly. There are alliances in politics between various groups who actually have power, money, organization. Alliances created to get enough support to prevent opposition.
Trump is also supported by various powerful people.
Id guess American Security Council, Heritage Foundation, Zionists, possibly more conservative Catholic groups, possibly some neocons, etc.
You see that with his antiChina, anti Iran, sanctions, and pressuring the Liberal groups (successfully or not dont know).
