I like many,portuguese,germany,england,russia,france et cetera.
Our anthem (italian) is very well written but it has a bad music,an anthem needs to be more martial.

I think that a lot of people outside of Norway know that "Ja vi elsker" is considered our one and only national anthem, and many if not most Norwegians would be quick to agree, but actually there's another anthem that was in fact considered the official national anthem, but has since been "taken over" by "Ja vi elsker". The song is called "Sønner av Norge".
Rock/metal version of "Sønner av Norge":

Personally, I like both songs, but "Sønner av Norge" seems to have more powerful lyrics and a heavier sound to it, while "Ja vi elsker" has a lighter tone to it.
By the way, we nicked the royal anthem from Britain.

It might interest you to know that "Sønner av Norge" is often sung and played at Sons of Norway meetings and ceremonies, especially the installation of officers, when the newly-elected officers are being marched into position before the installing officer.
