The irony is only some 30 years ago these two countries seemed biggest ideological enemies.

I was at a bar in Madison, Wisconsin when I was getting my MA degree. A Russian was sitting next to me, and he told me he was at UW to get a degree in agriculture. Wisconsin is the dairy capital of the US. They have cutting edge farm equipment. Seems like Russia is really invested in increasing agricultural output and efficiency. This is a really good opportunity for White South Africans. I hope they don't stay isolated, and I hope they learn Russian.
