I have a Sicilian ancestor with the surname Loiacono, which means a church deacon. I probably have more, but I don't speak Italian, and I don't want to spend 90 minutes googling dozens of surnames

Taylor, Smith, Cooper, Tyler, Pottenger (from Old French potagiere, "soup-maker"), de Coninck (Flemish; supposedly for someone who played the role of a king in a medieval church mystery play).

Ward - I have a Howell Ward (fl. 1520) who for the next four generations his descendants were refered to with Welsh patronyms + alias Warde. Given the patronym and name Howell I have presumed this is a rare case of Welsh adoption of a occupational name, though obviously in English.

Kalandar - A rare Armenian occupational name that was in use as a fixed surname in 17th century Persia, but quickly died out. It means 'mayor'

Gentloom - A now extinct Armenian surname that appears to have been bestowed by French traders, as it has also been spelled Genntilhome, French, for gentleman.

Benbow - From 'bend bow', an archer.

Passant - French origin surname for a messenger.

Masterstone - Appears to be a worker with precious stones

    Armour - Maker of armour

    Smith/Smyth

    Forrester - Forest keeper

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.
