A recently observed issue on many threads

The trolling of Indian members needs to stop. Lately, there is a preponderance of West Asian members trolling/attacking Indians for showing interest in their ethnicities lately. Additionally, some are upset because of Indian and Pakistani members claiming that some West Asians posted for classification are South Asian looking. These same West Asian members would not be as hostile if South Europeans were the ones showing interest in their ethnic groups, or if South Europeans were saying their kin resemble South Europeans. In fact, I am sure their mouths would be watering if South Euros did this (as opposed to Indians). While t is true that West Asians and South Asians look very different and that some Indians/Pakistanis definitely do try to "desify" groups such as Afghans, Iranians, and Turks, this is no excuse to act downright nasty towards Indians. Let's face it, you only have a grudge against Indian members because they are darker. The trolling needs to end.

I haven't talked shit about indians, though its not necessarily because they're darker, but rather their features don't fit as being West asian. Same goes for west asians passing as south asians.

I couldn't agree with this more. Some Indians definitely do try to desify ethnicites such as Afghans and Iranians, but there is nothing wrong with them showing interest in our ethnic groups. Another thing that I find ironic is that these West Asian members doing this get extremely irritated when people overlook their phenotypic diversity, but then in turn act like all Indians look the same - despite the fact that India is more diverse than any country from Turkey to Afghanistan is combined.

I havent seen Pakistanis try to desify West Asians , we look quite different from them even lighter ones. But I agree with your point there is too much hate among west asians toward South Asians. Also they like throwing their darker types toward South Asia

It's gotten to the point where Pakistani and Indian members can no longer suggest that some West Asians posted for classifcations can pass for *some* kind of South Asian without a West Asian going "OMG curry, are you TROLLING?!?!?" I even see this happening when only North Pakistan is suggested (which is a very very western shifted part of South Asia with many many people wh do not look stereotypically "South Asian"). But even if proper South Asia is suggested, it is no excuse to get nasty and call members names over it.

Pakis don't try to build any connection with west Asians neither me or Lameduck do this, half my posts are literally me saying a west asian wouldn't pass in Pakistan yet people still reiterate this nonsense claim that we want to be west asian.
