British people: genetically closer to Russians or closer to Iberians?

Closer to Spaniards in +1 pops, closer to Russians in terms of ancient components and in reality closer Balto-slavic drift aside. Distant from both and silly comparison.

To Iberia I guess, the closest regions of Russia are after Iberia and Russia as whole probably even more. I guess Germany would be somewhat harder. East Germany I bet its Russia.

They are closer to Spain mostly because Russians have that more or less significant drift eastwards due to various E.Eurasian type of admixtures. In the same way they would be closer to southern Scandinavians than say North Swedes.

Well, there are whole regions of Russia which are free of or have ~1% E. Eurasian, in Western and SW parts.

1% is extremely rare. Zero is virtually unheard of. I do have seen people with barely 1% but I don't know their detailed ancestry and they were just a handful out of hundreds I've seen over the years (I believe I started exploring Gedmatch about 4 years ago).

I disagree and don't use K7. I use Dodecad K12b. Siberian/East_Asian/Southeast_Asian are the three Mongoloid components.

I usually don't make wild claims about other nations but when it comes to us (yes, I do include Ukraine and Belarus as historically Russian lands) there is no one like me on this site and possibly on any other site. I've seen well over a thousand results over the years and keep getting new ones here and then.
