I think most men are ectomorphs. It seems more common than not. That is why most people are either thin or skinny-fat.
You can be a different combo for two body types. For example, I'm an endo-mesomorph.
I put on muscle easily, but I also put on fat easily too. I'm not an endomorph pure, because they often have short limbs and poor muscle tone.

Ectomorphs: Very straight up and down . Has trouble putting on muscle, but usually not overweight. Can appear deceptively lean, while having higher body fat. Usually just "skinny".
Endormoph: Wide shoulders and hips. Short limbs. Lots of fat, lower muscle ratio.
Mesomorphs: Wide shoulders, narrow waist. Puts on muscle very easily.
