German dedication to their state, work, laws etc... is unmatched by any other European nation, maybe only Japan can match them in Asia.

But is it their natural way of thinking or has it been engineered by Nazis in 40's?

I am asking because I haven't seen anyone obsessed with Work and Laws more than Hitler.

Would be closer to reality to speak about "German organized laziness".
The key value in Germany isn't working hard, it's Treue, truth.
Loyalty to the company you work for is paramount in Germany.
This allows businesses to be run very efficiently, because everyone knows he can rely on the whole community, which makes organisation all the more productive.
Which is the reason why the Germans have the world's shortest work week, week-ends in Germany start on Friday morning and end on Monday afternoon.
Average hours worked weekly in Germany: only 26 hours!
The Greek, Portuguese, Mexicans, Koreans etc. are at work for much longer hours.
They work hard. But they don't work smart.
There must be a reason for which Europe's most advanced nations have the shortest work weeks: Germany, followed by Denmark, Norway, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and Sweden.

Germanic people have always been known for a survivalist, hardworking nature. It began long before Hitler’s time. He just latched onto some of that moreso than others in his ideology.
