Ireland was a lot more socially liberal than people thought for some time. It just took awhile to legally,formally get there. I mean their taoiseach is literally a gay Indian. Not even the US or Canada has an openly gay head of state.
Their population is so tiny too. Only about two decades of lower birthrates thanks to abortion and mass immigration and they will be irreversibly transformed.

Oh well. Who cares about papists anyway?

It seems many leaders in the West are childless (Merkel, May, Macron) or abnormal sexual orientations.
They dont care about traditional values, and they want immigrants as their children.

Trudeau is awful and worse than Merkel who is awful herself. Dont know enough about the "Irish" leader other than what I posted earlier.

As for Catholicism while I have some sympathy for practicing/traditional types it died in 1965. Its divided, lost, perverted, and corrupt. (Quite frankly dont care about their progress in Africa, when in the West its failing, priests are dropping like flies, church weekly attendance has collapsed).

The only hope is for all Christians who have older values to unite and get over the minor theological differences.

That day is a pipe dream if you want to know the honest truth. By default American, Canadian ect means "White" European, but me and you will always be seen as immigrants or worse refugees. Unless you are truly melted away, most of us don't really do.
