British unemployment falls to 4% in wake of mass emigration of European citizens

We've taken back British jobs for British people apparently.

On the back of 86,000 Continentals going home this year alone the job market has more jobs but less competition (although non EU foreigners are not leaving). Thanks to a growing economy and fewer applicants the overall number of unemployed people is at the lowest it has been since 1975.

Productivity and growth are also up.

Many migrants are great people and I count some amongst my friends

Migrants who are here to work and send remittances home and generally refuse to integrate can leave though

I dislike migration from poor countries to rich countries, not on racial grounds though but rather on moral grounds. It's often the educated who go abroad. And the immigration from poor countries creates a brain-drain of native labor which is better spent on improving their home countries. Case in point, there are a lot of doctors I know here in the Philippines who become nurses abroad because of the higher exchange rates of developed nations as it lures them to leave their old jobs to demote themselves to nurses yet earn more abroad due to higher wages. Meanwhile, because all the doctors are working as nurses abroad, local hospitals here are now understaffed and overcrowded.

It makes the rich even richer and the poor, poorer.
