Always interesting how Pamiris doesn't have the same East Asian amount of genes than Turkic people has, even being so closer.

I would like to see some Pamiri samples from China/Kashgar, but I think that would be too much.

Names like " Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2" and "Sappali_Tepe_BA". These mean nothing to me in terms of what they imply (NE Euro? South Asian? Middle Eastern?)

Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2 is a mostly Iranian-Neo like component with 17% ASI in it. Sappali_Tepe_BA is a BMAC sample, and BMAC was also basically Iranian-Neo with 3-10% steppe.

these are samples from the Narisimhan et Al 2018 DNA publication of Central Asian and Iranian ancient DNA, Shahr i Sokhta_BA2 is a sample from the Jiroft civilization in SE Iran which was a migrant from the Indus valley, hence the high AASI. And BMAC was not “basically Iranian-Neo”, it had considerable amounts of Levantine farmer as well.

And extra ANE-related from West Siberian Hunter Gatherers + some AASI. The BMAC samples score 7-9% South Indian in Harappa World.

I'm not talking about where they came from, Im just explaining the genetic breakdown of it to him, since that is what he asked for. I did not know that BMAC had farmer, though.
