I do remember, however, her once mentioning having brown-skinned relatives or friends/acquaintances with European heritage who identify as muslims because Nordic society perceives them as 'foreign' and that way they feel they 'belong' somewhere.

I also remember a story about a blonde blue-eyed convert to Islam who got berated when doing the Hajj, and getting told how Islam is a serious religion. Why? Because it was hard to believe a blonde to be sharing their creed over it being a rare thing.

That's human idiocy of course, but it's a strong societal influence on a large scale.
