Is only in far west Lvov Galicia region they are Poloks. The rest is closer to Russians.

All countries are artiffical if you look back emough. Just it happens Poland is lot older country than Ukraine.

Rus was the original name of our land, after they changed to Russia, nothing has changed since, only the name. You wont stop being you just because you changed your name

Majority of modern Russian federation was never part of Rus.

In my opinion, if some people consider themself separate nation, that should be respected.
Ethnic groups are created and die all the time. In the end, we all branched from proto Slavs long time ago, and became separate tribes.

Bosniaks are genetically almost identical to Croats, but They are not one of us, because They have completely different Identity and historical experience. Genes mean little, personal feeling is much more Important.
