Yes, but not very dark, only 0,5% of Irish have true brown eyes, and around 11/12% dark mixed eyes or ''hazel''.
But not all hazel eyes are dark, some refers to hazel as all mixed eyes, they can be even extremly light by some definition, like blue eyes with heterocromia...

Njah...they all carry ancestor/genes of brown eyed person...and they are "dark" as a brown eyes.

One of my sisters, my father, and one of my nephews have a similar eye colour to that... it's like a hazel with greenish tones. I know what you mean... it's not the same as pure brown eyes.

Brown eyes on the other hand are very common in the Czech and South/central Germany, about 40% of czech have pure dark eyes, and 30% of Germans do...
This is due to the heavy ammount of Alpinid-Dinarid and Pontid types...
Only 8% of Irish have a naturally tanned skintone (according to hooton), while around 20/30% of Czech do...
I have been in Prague recently, most of girls where very pretty and attractive, both blond, both brunettes.
