This ethnicity dataset (GREG) is a digital version of the paper Atlas Narodov Mira created in 1964. In 2010 the GREG (Geo-referencing of ethnic groups) project, used maps and data drawn from the Narodov Mira Atlas to create a GIS version of the atlas.

According to that map, Aragonese are more related to Andalusians than to Catalans, Cantabrians are more related to Extremadura than to Basques, and Asturians are more related to Valencians than Galicians
