I suggest you to watch also the series The Last Kingdom, the series takes places in England during the epoch of the Viking invasion, and it's narrated from the point of view of the Saxons.

Yeah, it's shit. Bad overdone acting all around, dialogues for people with 70 iq, predictable script that goes nowhere, characters no one gives a fuck about... I think people watch it mostly for the setting.

It's fine. Although It has become a little scattered lately with not well reasoned scenarios but it is still good imo.. Unlike the walking dead for example.
