That's not how Steppe admixture works, Sardinians have the lowest Steppe admixture in Europe.

Look at Sardinians:

Many English people but mostly Irish people and Welsh people can be very swarthy or dark looking for Northern Europeans and they have some of the highest Steppe admixture the so called "Black Irish" referring to Irish people or Brits who are swarthy looking, aka Paleo-Atlantid. Aka "Native British and Irish Islanders"

So there you have it. "Steppe admixture", "Genetic similarity" and "Haplogroups" as well because some people think haplogroups play a part, DO NOT cause or determine someone's skin tone. I'm pretty sure also that Kashmiri people have the highest level of Steppe admixture in the world, higher than Norwegians and Swedes however, one takes one look at Kashimiris and you will clearly say they are Far from European looking lol. The reason why so many Calabrians look "Dark" is because it's further down South, people mutated differently and adapted to more climates and just genetically inherited higher levels of Vitamin D or Melanin. Many Calabrians are also pretty pasty so don't assume and stereotype all of them as being swarthy.
