Antioch is a place where first Anatolian christians emerged and it became respected and even part of pentarchy.

Syrians were considered part of Roman ethnos and they were Christians before Islam.

It is true that Syrians ruled that part of Roman Empire but we must get facts straight here:

Anatolian Turks today have a significant Syrian ancestry in the East therefore Syrians can't claim that territory cause it's already under control of Syrian Turks.

The only thing they can claim a religious freedom there (that already exists) so ... Syria should calm down.

The Erab doesn't ask for his 4 million citizens in Turkey but wants a Turkish province which Turks took from Greeks in 1084 AD.
The mistake of Turks wasn't to remove the Semitic element from the city in a physical sense after capturing, while Normans did in 1098 AD (Muslims and Christians alike) though that was not total. I think when there is an Arab continuity inside the population somewhere in the world, Arabs end up claiming it. It doesn't matter if Arab states controlled the area continuously or not.

Hatay has many Arabs but they like to be in Turkey.
