since Croatia is not a direct neighbour all Romanians care about is Adriatic seaside, many go on vacation there. generally it is considered a sunny Mediterranean place with rock beaches and clean water. the town of Pula is very popular among Romanians and those visiting Croatia go there to make a photo with the Pula road sign where you enter the town - because in Romanian it is very vulgar, it means 'dick' in a vulgar way

Though I m not Romanian, I voted for Bulgaria as I saw other nationalities voted in the poll too. Maybe our relations aren't perfect, but they have to be. I have been to a lot of foreign states and I could say for certainty Romania feels most similar to Bulgaria (yes, that includes Serbia). From the problems to the positives. We sometimes do not love those closest to us, because we see in them what we dislike in us, but we are bound to be close, cause like it or not we are similar. I ve read a book on Vatican sources on Bulgaria in the middle ages. Strangely (or not), Bulgarians and Vlachs were always grouped together and referred to as the same people in some sources (for example "as the Bulgarians and Vlachs say "insert a word"... etc.). It was interesting. I still think our common history and interconnection hasn't been studied in a depth. The strangest thing is that unlike on the other neighbors, on the Romanians most Bulgarians didn't have any opinion as they were hardly discussed in our history books... Maybe we were never rivals and that's why.

It looks like Romania is the most peaceful Balkan country...

    P. S. Congrats to to all non-Romanian voters on another nicely spoiled poll.
    Do what you should.
