``Laws´´: 1/8 or One drop rule?

Which of these 2 laws do you believe about being considered pure? the person who has 1/8 (or 1/16) of any race is considered `` pure '' or the famous One drop rule (which was applied in the USA)

In my opinion I considered the 1/8 (or 1/16) acceptable because the traits/features of another race genotypically do not show phenotypically, and the one drop rule I consider it very exaggerated, it is as if a Native American were considered white simply because they have 1% or less of that race.

But hey, I'd like to know your opinions and which of those two options you choose

If they are less than 1/8th of another race, I wouldn't exactly consider them "mixed".

The one drop rule is irrational and excludes many people who otherwise would be good nationalists. 1/8 seems like a good place to draw the line to me.

I'd say go on a case by case basis. If they look fully white and are less than 1/8 Negro I'd say they could be considered white. That was for the most part the law in America in the eighteenth and nineteenth century before the one drop rule (Unless you were born a slave).

true, i do think however. that IF you are 1/8th of another ethnicity for example you can acknowledge that ethnicity, if its 1% or 2% it aswell not exist to me for example.

Ok, what would you say for 25-33% SSA and 10-18% ethiopian admixed individuals? would you think i could get away by saying i was italian or spanish or no?

Sure, I would if I had knowledge that the admixture was within the last few generations.

Do you think having such small percentages actually mean anything though? Persinally, I don't really take any of my percentages seriously that are under 10%.
