Pests to eat more crops in warmer world

Insects will be at the heart of worldwide crop losses as the climate warms up, predicts a US study.

Scientists estimate the pests will be eating 10-25% more wheat, rice and maize across the globe for each one degree rise in climate temperature.

Warming drives insect energy use and prompts them to eat more. Their populations can also increase.

Birds will eat the extra insects.

Large flocks are starlings are considered as beneficial to farmers during the spring and summer months.... as they'll munch on lots of protein-rich insects, thus reducing the usage of cancer causing pesticides on the crops.

But by Autumn.... when it's time to harvest the crops.... the starlings then like to eat the crops too! (Then farmers start to dislike the birds during the harvest season.)

I use Geese, Chickens, Ducks and Guinea fowl for insect (and weed) control. But I'm not dealing with thousands or millions of square miles either. Heh.

Bring back DDT (drop dead twice), which, as a bonus, will reverse the continuing libtard policy of letting Africans die of malaria in the millions, which wasn't the case before they banned it.
