Tbh i believe the situation is different regarding WW2, as we won the world. Back in the days after the world yeah, there was a lot of racism against germans living in Russia, mainly because they assosiated german to nazi. But now, most of the people dont care about germans at all or even the nazis. And i believe its similar for germans because you said in the begginning german nationalists supported russians

For WW2 I can understand for obvious reason, but about ww1 ? There was hardly any good side in this war, it was a organized butchery that saw millions of european died for nothing. Also the germans/Triple Alliance were allied with the ottomans, well of course the entente alos had weird allies, without mentioning the use of colonial troops in europe.
