Perhaps, but still whether by default or design they include a somewhat higher percentage of Whites than is true of contemporary migration trends in North America and Western Europe, so if it is "racial displacement" in Australia you are worried about then you shouldn't really be.

I am not saying that Australia was entirely the same as South Africa - far from it. Nevertheless, considering the similarities in terms of the discriminatory laws that existed in both countries, it is really funny how one was seen as a leading model liberal democracy, while the other was seen practically as the successor state of Nazi Germany itself. In fact, though in a different way to what he would have meant, it almost makes me recall Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent - two regimes that perpetrate similar human rights abuses but, nevertheless, get very different coverage in the media.
