this comparison was ecountered by me on a youtube comment under an historical video, to explain how much that event would have an impact.

imagine if let's say (as they tried to do) sweden (alter ego of Piedmont'Sardinia) would unite all scandinavia+ Denmark under one banner.


would the event be comparable with the unific. of Italy? would culture clash would be the same , less or more?


Was it a good example to explain and put in context the unific. of Italy?

I think a united Scandinavia would face less culture clash than Italy. They're more similar in terms of language, culture and genetics.

that was my guess, also. for sure genetically they are more homogenous. language difference i guess is somewhat like Italy where you can mostly understand each other but not quite, but i'm waiting for a scandinavian to answer that.
