Inaccurate. Kosovo was already Serbian since the 13th century. King Milutin already expanded into Northern Macedonia by the end of the century. The border with the Second Bulgarian Empire was next to Niš.

It was held by the Nemanjic for 200 years , they occupied it from Byzantium and the Bulgarians. Then it was held briefly by the Dukagjini family which the video doesn't mention and then the Ottoman Empire for 500 years, to say that Kosovo has been Serbian since then is a lie since Serbs did not rule it for that time. The demographics throughout that period are also very questionable.

Serbs took it again in 1912 with an expansion South after they gained their independence from the Ottomans. This was after the Albanians actually had defeated the Ottomans in Kosovo and the Serbs took advantage of this. The Black Hand Serbs had pretended to support the Albanians but only used them for their own interests obviously which was a final occupation of Kosovo. They also wanted to gain the coast of Albania. Serbs developed a hate for Albanians through means of propaganda and how Albanians deserved no land or state.

As far as i know, Toponyms for Kosovo were all Serbian in Ottoman archives, which are started to "Albanianize" later.

What do you mean by toponyms ? There were also Albanian families recorded there. And some of the Slavic and Latin names are believed to be Albanians. But that's beside the point, Kosovo isn't some Serbian holy land as they display it to be. They turned it into their holy land in the 19th century when they decided to occupy it. Just take a look at it's history and all the different empires it was ruled by.

If you mean toponyms as in villages etc. Of course since it was ruled by Slavic speakers such as the Bulgarians and later the Serbs. They Slavicized it. But the video obviously shows they didn't always hold it , you're also forgetting the part where it was ruled by Ottomans for 500 years, supposedly that doesn't count ?

This is why you also find Slavic toponyms in Albania specifically even in Albanian villages. Because Slavs settled there and the area was ruled by Slavs. It's mostly mountainous areas that have Albanian toponyms. There are Albanian toponyms in Kosovo since the medieval ages too though and many of its pre Slavic toponyms are either Latin or some proto Albanian. Even the very word 'Dardania' .

It's obvious by this video that neither Slavs nor Serbs are the original owners of Kosovo. By the time the Serbs occupied it in 1912 the area was largely Albanian. One cannot expect a majority Albanian area to be under Serbian rule. On what grounds would one expect such things if the area was not Serbian originally to begin with ?

Don't want to sound hilarious, but Albanians used to live before Ottomans very primitive live, without any sense of capitalism and knowledge of alphabet etc. Many of them lived just pure life somewhere in mountains or near the sea and they truly didn't care where "do they belong to"- talking about far past.

It's funny how they claimed it was Serbian since 13th century when it was held by the Ottomans for 500 years. It didn't become ''Serbian'' again until early 20th century when they occupied it and illegally integrated it and the area then was majority Albanian so there you have it.

Albanians and Vlachs were it's original inhabitants pretty much had it not been for Slavic expansion in the first place.
