He has an occipital bun, that is probably a sign of European ancestry. I forgot exactly which African groups have occipital buns (I believe the San of southern Africa are the most widespread ones) but I believe they're for the most part away from the sections of Africa that African-Americans derive their ancestry form.

I don't know how to classify Sub-Saharan Africans so I don't know what he is.

He is mostly Sudanid, but with Europoid influences. I guess the Europid influence is Nordeuropid, especially if looking at the forehead and chin-jaw region. They should test him genetically

Especially in some profile pictures, he looks really Atlanto-Nordoid inspired, which adds to his more progressive traits and appearance in comparison to the average AA.
