Yes, it's that time of year again! We remember where we were on the September 11th. And this year it happens to fall on...Tuesday!
I realize some people on here may have not even been born yet...
I was a young man of 22 and headed to local community college. Before I left for school that morning, I saw on the news a plane had hit one of the twin towers in NYC. I had no idea what that was . I didn't even know about the twin towers. But everyone thought it was single engine plane or something. I got to school and everyone was in the cafeteria looking at the TV's there (this was before we had flat screen!) Anyways, I remember seeing the news that another plane had hit. And something about other threats. But these were all people talking in the hallways and rumors. Everyone had out their flip phones out. The school was right off 1-95 and anything north of Richmond was blocked because there was a report of another Muslims coming up from NC. There were state troopers everywhere on campus.
So I went to class and it was dismissed early. My first class was English. Then I went to my computer class at noon, and the teacher said in lieu of the events of today, no class. And the school officially closed for the day. I went home and then I took a nap. After I got up later I learned about the Pentagon being hit and that the towers fell.
