cat owners must be masochists, you do everything without them being thankful, a dog is always happy and thankful.

Well, many cats are affectionate actually. They do seem to suffer from Asperger syndrome though, they behave very predictably and in patterns, more so than dogs.

I don't hate any animals (except some humans). I dislike spiders but that is my own phobia.

Spiders and snakes. I know spiders are useful for the environment but I don't want them anywhere near me.

Similarly, crocodiles scare me but I don't really "hate" them.

I don't hate any animals. Some of them disgust me, while others would scare me or be a fatal threat depending on the circumstances. I am not afraid of rats, but I am disgusted by them. I am not disgusted by lions, but I'd be afraid of them if I were left alone with one of them. Snakes scare and disgust me, though . The only animals I truly hate are those Humans who lack any moral compassion, empathy or remorse.
