Here is the tutorial on how to convert your 23andme v5 raw data to v3/or other companies. If your on Windows, the instructions and everything you need is here https://wilhelmhgenealogy.wordpress....match-classic/ you will need to use a program called DnaKitStudio.
1) You first need to upload your 23andme raw data to DNA.LAND.
*If you are not on Windows, your best bet is to download a free virtual machine, known as VirtualBox. It is free. A virtual machine is an emulation of a computer system. It's basically running a virtual OS on top of the OS you are on. So your not actually installing the OS on your computer.

2) Next in order to run the VirtualBox machine, you will need an ISO file of Windows. There is a free version of Windows 10 available on Microsoft website here. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...d/windows10ISO
3) Now follow the instructions in this video to correctly setup your VirtualBox machine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuAVOpO7yFc
4) If you followed instructions correctly you will have booted up your Windows 10 VirtualBox machine. You will now go into the installation process. When you get to the Product Key stage, just click I don't have a product key and move along, I didn't need one to continue with my installation, you probably don't either.
5) When choosing what Windows 10 version, go with Home or Pro, I chose Pro. Next chose the custom install, second option, and there you will see your created virtual hard disk, with the space you allocated on it.
*Remember to watch this video ------> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuAVOpO7yFc
6) Continue with installation process and when you install and finally get to the Desktop of your Windows 10 VirtualBox machine, gather your .vcf file, and install and run DnaKitStudio. Remember you will need to get .vcf file from DNA.LAND so if you don't want to download again, just upload to your cloud service of choice, like Google Drive, and download it, to your VirtualBox Windows 10 desktop. All you need to know is here. https://wilhelmhgenealogy.wordpress....match-classic/
7) The converted file should be in the extracted DnaKitStudio folder. Make sure you right click the file ---> send to ---->compressed zip file. You need to do this if you want to upload to GEDmatch.
8) Now you have the converted genome zip file, you can now run on your VirtualBox machine on the internet in GEDmatch or other calculators, but if you want to have the file on your Mac/Linux upload it to your cloud service of choice (ex. Google Drive) and download it on your Mac/Linux, and if you want to upload the converted file to GEDmatch, or other calculators...you can now do it on the actual OS you are running on, and not the VirtualBox machine.
